Quintessa's 25ᵗʰ Birthday Party

Over the weekend of 28ᵗʰ and 29ᵗʰ September, current and former Quintessa employees came together to celebrate the company's 25ᵗʰ birthday.

This year marks 25 years since David Hodgkinson founded Quintessa with the aim of providing an enjoyable and fulfilling working environment in which talented scientists and mathematicians could use their problem-solving skills to help clients. To commemorate this milestone, those who have contributed to the company’s success over the years, along with their loved ones, gathered at Stapleford Park Hotel in Leicestershire for a weekend of celebration.

The weekend begun with guests enjoying tea and birthday cake. Quintessa's current Managing Director, Richard Little, delivered a speech thanking everyone for their hard work and expressed optimism for Quintessa's future, which was closed off with a rendition of 'Happy Birthday' being sung by all. In the afternoon, guests embraced their competitive side with games including giant chess, boule, and pool.

Later, a slideshow of photographs showcasing the company’s journey from its inception to the present day played alongside a three-course meal in the Grand Hall, making for an evening filled with good food, drinks, and conversation.

On Sunday, the festivities continued with a visit to the National Space Centre in Leicester, which happened to coincide with an event celebrating British Sci-Fi. Guests were surprised to encounter a few more Daleks than anticipated!
