A leader entitled "The July 2005 London bombings: environmental monitoring, health risk assessment and lessons identified for major incident response" (by James Wilson, Virginia Murray and Nick Kettle) has just been published in the journal Occupational and Environmental Medicine.
The article outlines the environmental monitoring and health risk assessment that was undertaken on the London Underground as part of the multi-agency response to this major incident. It also discusses lessons identified for major incidence response "command and control". At the time this article was written, its lead author James Wilson worked for the Health Protection Agency (Chemical Hazards and Poisons Division). From 2008 to 2019, James was a Quintessa consultant. He is now a Quintessa associate.
