Quintessa employees were celebrating last night after David Hodgkinson was awarded the Employee Owner of the Year Award by the BBC’s Martine Croxall at this year’s UK Employee Ownership Awards. This award celebrates an individual, irrespective of seniority who has done the most to promote and develop employee ownership inside an employee owned organisation.
Sponsored by employee ownership transition specialists Baxendale and managed by the Employee Ownership Association (EOA), the UK Employee Ownership Awards are the most prestigious accolades for employee owned organisations. Formerly the Philip Baxendale Awards, this year’s awards were presented at the Gala Dinner on the first evening of the EOA Annual Conference at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel.
An independent panel of judges from the employee owned sector highlighted David’s vision that all employees should be empowered to contribute to all aspects of the business, including the development and implementation of strategy and business processes, and interaction with clients and collaborators.
Deb Oxley, Chief Executive of the Employee Ownership Association, said:
“David is a well-deserved winner of this year’s Employee Owner of the Year Award – as it recognises the commitment and engagement undertaken to bring employee ownership to life within Quintessa, and demonstrates perfectly significant benefits that employee ownership can deliver through enhanced employee engagement.”
