Celebrating International Day of Happiness

International Day of Happiness was the 20ᵗʰ of March. Although working from home, Quintessa employees spent Friday 19ᵗʰ celebrating this day as best they could!

The day was kicked off with employees generating a list of things that made them happy, which featured exercise and the great outdoors, as well as, unsurprisingly, chocolate and pizza! This was followed by a lunchtime viewing of the TED talk "What makes a good life? Lessons from the longest study on happiness", which prompted some very interesting discussions.

Noting the importance of quality time mentioned in the TED talk, the evening was spent having virtual drinks and a chat which is always fantastic fun.

A word cloud containing words submitted by employees: Being on the river. Being near the sea. Gaming. Walking. Exercise. Pizza. Sunshine. Gardening. Being in the garden. Mountains. Bird song. Swimming in the sea. Halo. BBQs on the beach. Trees. Work. Chocolate. Music. Acting. Outdoors. Singing. Clarinet. Seeing family and friends. Nature. Climbing. Rowing. Sunrise. Yoga. Sea breeze.
